Hi, I’m Vernell Wilson.

I began writing at the age of eleven. It was a story about a dress. And I’ve been a writer ever since.

I have written and recited a poem to Rosa Parks, honored and celebrated the city of Detroit with my poem “Build the Walls of Detroit”, and given speeches throughout the state of Michigan.

Fly low, fly high; Your goal is the sky, or atop the mountain nearby. Nothing shall stop you, or slow you down, for you have proven, best and sound.
